Some of the styles and designs I spotted at London Fashion Week were just incredible with such powerful potential. The day consisted of a lot of street style, from both taking the pictures and having my picture taken (smiling proudly). It is just amazing the types of styles you can spot at London Fashion Week, if you were a tourist that just happened to stroll into Somerset House during this fashionable week, you would most definitely feel as though you have walked into some kind of crazy, colourful, but wonderful world of extreme fashion.

As I said in my previous post I managed to meet some lovely new designers throughout the day and I can't wait to get all my ideas into an editorial shoot!

Here are some of my favourite snaps from the day!

Hey lovelies! I know this is a super late post but I wasn’t initially planning on writing any London Fashion Week related posts but I do love this outfit so I thought I would upload anyway! I’ve recently moved back down to Southampton for my third year of uni and have only just had the internet installed in our student house, which if you saw my Twitter, explains the lack of posts! On a lighter note (well not really) I’m absolutely crapping myself for my final year, I'm having such a good time at the minute enjoying my last year as a student but I have a horrible amount of work to do along with my dissertation, so scary!! I want to also make sure I keep on top of the blog posts, this will probably be a completely different story in a month’s time and I’ll probably be in tears with a hundred books around me, well I do hope that is not the case!

As you may know from previous posts I was interning at InStyle magazine around LFW which sadly has now came to an end because of being back at Uni, which I'm so gutted about, I really loved it there and the experience was a-mazing! I was lucky enough to get some off schedule show tickets so I attended those over the weekend with one of my friends. I had this picture taken whilst waiting for the Ashley Isham show. The show was absolutely stunning; the setting of the catwalk was so pretty with the models entering from various antique looking doors at one end of the catwalk. The audience was pretty big too, in fact the show was overcrowded if anything but the collection was just so amazing! I did prefer the beginning of the collection as it was more ready-to-wear with an edge of added PVC and tailored printed trousers, whereas the second half was more eveningwear, which was lovely but didn’t excite me as much as the first part of the show. I loved being around LFW, it’s also so encouraging to see how many bloggers go along to the shows, I noticed a few familiar faces around some of the shows I attended, so that was great to see! It was so much fun being at the shows and getting to experience LFW, I’ve only ever worked at the shows there, so being able to attend was super exciting!!

Did anyone else get to experience the beautiful weather around LFW, or even attend any of the shows?

(I also had an interview after my day at LFW so had to dress to suit both occasions, oh and we had to wear black on our bottom halves as we were given a black Bora Aksu oversized t-shirt to wear on the day)

Hey ladies! If any of you follow me on Twitter you may have seen my excited tweet about interning at London Fashion Week! I was extremely lucky to have the chance of interning for the Bora Aksu show on Friday 15th, yes the OPENING day of Fashion Week! I was so excited but also very nervous as I didn’t know what to expect. When I got there I was soon to realise I wasn’t on my own, phew! I was hoping there would be other interns there and I was pleasantly surprised when about 10-15 other girls and boys showed up also interning!

How I got to intern at LFW?

Well, I just happened to be browsing through twitter and noticed a re-tweet about wanted interns for the Bora Aksu show, so I thought I would take my chances and I emailed Antony, who works for Bora and had sent the tweet. To my surprise I received an email back a few days later saying my day’s internship was confirmed for Bora Aksu and Antony had sent me all the details! Easy as pie really, who’d have thought it would be so straight forward!?

What the day involved?

If I'm honest, interning here was so rewarding! My morning consisted of moving one box about 10 metres away from where it was, having glimpses of the hair and makeup artists transform the models into the most perfect creations with their hair sleeked back and some with face jewels and masked covering their heads and faces. Then I got to watch the run through where it was super busy but whilst doing so a few of us had to fill each row of benches with some Bora information, including his press release for the collection. Then finally I was allocated Block A, where I would check tickets of those who needed help finding their seats and direct them… and that was all!

I was then able to watch the whole show and could photographs on my phone! Although, I was disappointed with how my images turned out; the background light for the catwalk was so bright the models faces were lost and pretty much all other details (I will be posting some tomorrow).

However, even though my photos didn’t quite turn out how I wished the experience was amazing! I mean I got to watch the Bora Aksu show at London Fashion Week, free of charge and at front row level… and also managed to bag myself a goody bag which was gifted to front row VIP’s… yes amazing right!? Luckily there were a good few spare so me and two other of the girls were able to take one… fantastic end to a great experience. I would definitely intern here again and the Bora Aksu show was just incredible.
