Dress | Bill + Mar*
Shoes | Kurt Geiger

Firstly, just how perfect is this dress!! When I first saw this dress in Bill + Mar’s twitter picture, I absolutely fell in love with it. I absolutely just love this print; it’s perfect for the summer and even better for the festival season. The marble print is something that stands out in the Bill + Mar Spring/Summer 2013 collection and is used on midi skirts, crop tops, jackets and jumpers, genius right? The new collection has been available to preview online for a while now but has just become available to buy online also, the only problem is… it’s hard to resist spending your every last penny on a whole new Bill + Mar wardrobe!

I wanted to keep the styling simple for this piece; I mean the print is enough to wear alone, so I paired it with my Kurt Geiger flatforms and a pair of glitter socks and ta-da! For all you made in Chelsea fans that have desperately been trying to hunt down this dress as seen on Rosie Fortescue I hope I’ve helped :) I know how annoying it can be seeing an amazing dress on a celeb and not knowing where it is from!

I was so happy when I received this Bill + Mar pleione marble print maxi dress because I was hoping the quality of it will match the price of the dress and it certainly did! It is a little pricey but if you want something that’s different with a quirky edge from what you’ll find in all the high street stores and that is of a good quality then you’ll love this website. The quality definitely matches the price, the material is so soft and has a slight silk feel to it. The fabrics really light and airy and would be perfect for the summer or to wear abroad, I'll be taking this on holiday with me this summer to wear in the evening. You can also find some lovely, quirky and much cheaper pieces in the Bill + Mar sale, it’s definitely worth having a look!

Has anyone else purchased anything from here and can’t resist wanting to get more?

OOTD | Skater skirts & Bowler hats!

The past week at Uni I’ve been extremely busy and actually haven’t managed to blog too much. I’ve had 3 deadlines come around at once and all right before Christmas so it’s all a bit rush, rush, rush and of course me being a major last minute person anyway doesn’t help! Last week I handed in a management and marketing report, 51 pages and 12,000 words later! Yes, 12,000 I managed to get it in on time… one down, 2 to go…! For one of my other Uni projects, I had to set up and plan a photo shoot around a diversity issue to suit iD magazine! So I decided to wear this outfit on the day of shooting, something easy and comfortable to be prepared to do a lot of moving about in, what with moving the lights around and making sure everything was correct on my model… it ended up being quite fun and exciting, I have been planning each of the shots for a couple of weeks now so I knew exactly how I wanted it which made everything easier.

After we finished shooting me and my friend Emily took advantage of the studio space and white backgrounds and decided to get in some quick blog photos- marvellous! I wanted to go for a very black and white look so matched this black skater skirt with this basic men’s t-shirt I picked up from Primark, I rolled the sleeves up and ironed them into position, added tights and my spiked shoes and was good to go!
Here's an image of me in action on the photoshoot- styling away!

OOTD | Vintage blouse

Blouse- Vintage | Jeans- Topshop (MOTO) | Boots- Dr Martens | Watch- Aqua Master | Bracelets- Pandora and Various | Nails- Avon | Ring- Topshop

Today’s outfit post features a vintage find, a lot of jean and the typical Dr Martens, which yes I do practically live in… I mean they’re just perfect for whatever the weather. This little oversized size 18 to be precise, blouse was something I mentioned in a previous post on Southampton’s vintage fair (you can read this here). After rummaging through a massive trunk full of clothes I managed to find this pretty blouse for just £5, I loved that it was too big for me to create the oversized effect. I decided to match it with my Topshop (Moto) cropped skinny jeans for a casual edge and to create an unbalance of shape, baggy on top and tight on the bottom half. I added my DM’s to the look too… I wore this to my nephew’s second birthday (tea) party, an appropriate outfit, yes! I love finding cheap little items to add to outfits, it always makes you feel better wearing them!
