New Years Resolutions with!

Merry Christmas and soon to be New Years! Every year we all start listing the New Year’s resolutions we hope to stick by, be it to join a gym, eat healthier, get a new job, start a new hobby etc. But this year has teamed up with bloggers to see what trends we could vow as a New Year’s resolution to wear more of. So I have picked lace. I haven't worn anything lace in a while now, as I felt it just reminded me of the style of clothes I wore when I was in my teens. But now with a new take on lace, I'm open armed for it to come back into my life... well, my wardrobe!

As soon as I spotted this Emily lace jumpsuit on I knew it was time for a change. I instantly selected this to be the product I feature in my New Years trend resolution post. I now think I'm sold!

So I do vow to include more lace into my wardrobe this season, as well as to wear jumpsuits more often. I think jumpsuits are so flattering (especially an all black number). The off shoulder detail on this BOOHOO jumpsuit makes the outfit look simple, delicate and the ultimate chic! I love for an on trend, perfectly priced, fashion forward outfit; they have to be a go to.

I'll also be styling this up for a day time look in a January post, so keep your eyes peeled chicks.

Also wishing everyone a happy New Year! Sending love xx

Style | All Black Everything

Yes, I wear probably too much black, but everything looks good with black and I'm pretty sure all of the best clothes come in black. Maybe that’s just my view, I do own colour, I promise! There’s nothing I love more than a simple all black outfit and this top happens to be the top of my dreams! I picked this up from Zara’s new season last week for only £17.99, as I said the top of my dreams! The neckline cut is just beautiful the way it drapes and the tighter sleeves just make the top fit perfectly, not adding on extra weight to my arms; which I feel some tops can sometimes create the image of.

I must add, these New Look shoes are a dream, I found them in the sale for just £12 and they add that touch to every outfit possible, these are a favourite of mine for definite. Every time I wear these to work everyone comments on how lovely they are! Definitely the shoe of all sale dreams.

Style | Just chill

TOP; Forever 21 | JEANS, SANDALS & JACKET; Topshop

Simple, casual but trying to stay chic in this monochrome look. Pretty in love with this black sleeveless deep v top, the neckline cut looks effortlessly dressy but I of coursed dressed it down, pairing with my white ripped knee jeans.

I picked these white sandals up before I went travelling, which means I have had them for a good few months, however I’ve only started wearing them more recently, so I just love how fresh they look! Honestly, you can’t beat a monochrome look on a chilled day! Just purchased this jacket I'm holding too (from Topshop), because apparently I can’t get enough of black, and it’s a silky bomber so that makes it ok.

Makeup wise, I went for more of a smokey eye look with this. I am loving playing around with different make up styles lately and feel like being more adventurous with the way I apply makeup and the makeup I choose; obviously my pocket does not appreciate this experimenting.

I'm looking into starting a VLOG as my makeup obsession is becoming more serious and I feel like having some fun with it. I would love some recommendations on video editing, tools etc. to use for this. Or even videos that are of a main interest for me to start with. Please comment any ideas :)

Lifestyle | Restaurant Review - Giraffe

Restaurant review | Giraffe

What better way to spend your Friday evening, than with good food and even better cocktails! I visited the Giraffe restaurant at the Lakeside Broadwalk location, which is set perfectly on the little lake by the shopping centre. I must say I have heard mixed reviews about this place so I was a little apprehensive at first. But as soon as I walked in I was utterly surprised with the atmosphere, interior mood and the odd bits of food I noticed from wondering past the other diners!

We were quickly seated even though the restaurant was fairy busy (it was a Friday night after all) and soon after, our drink orders had been taken; a raspberries Bellini cocktail for me and you're average red stripe beer for my partner!

We decided to just get mains as I'm not overly a starter person (more desert) unless I'm really hungry, or something grabs my eye that sounds amazing! The mains came in great timing, not too early so we could sit and have a drink and chat. I ordered the chilli beef burrito which was just unreal! Full with smoked cheddar, adobe sauce, sour cream, pink onions and crunchy seeds with a side salad and tomato salsa and tequila-lime dressing; just perfect. One of the best burritos I've had.

We also ordered the BBQ ribs and chicken combo, which looked pretty good too, the chips and coleslaw were unreal, and well the onion rings (which I wasn't allowed to sample) looked even better!

Giraffe have all kinds of dining options, from Thai pad Thai style dishes (which I will definitely be sampling next time), to burgers, to salmon and beer battered cod. Or if you want more Mexican food they have quesadillas and great options of salad dishes for anyone watching the calories!

The only small downfall was, they took ages to come over and ask if we wanted dessert or the bill, which is always something that bothers me, especially when they add on a service charge automatically; although the service at the end was not as efficient. We had well and truly finished our drinks and by the time they came over we couldn't be bothered with dessert and wanted to head off, but I guess it was a busy Friday night!

Two meals with a cocktail and beer came to just under £40 with the service charge included. Not bad at all for a nice evening out!

Beauty | The perfect brow

I’m quite lucky in the sense that I have quite full eyebrows and thanks to Lilash who I mentioned in my previous post, my eyebrows are pretty full. Although I am quite fortunate in this department, I still heavily rely on using a brow kit to enhance the colour and define the shaping of my brows. So, as you can guess getting this one from KISS was a dream to review. When we are talking brow kits, you couldn’t really ask for of a better kit than this one. This beautiful brow kit comes with all of the essentials to shape and trim your brows before applying the powder.

It is always a must for me to define the shaping of my brows, but I like to ensure they still look natural when I apply the powder. I find the colours of this kit perfect for my eyebrows for lining and filling. There is also a cream to set your hairs after application, so your shape holds throughout the day – yes perfect. My favourite part of this kit is the highlighter; just amazing! I love to add a highlight under my brow, to again define but lighten my brow bone, so this is an ultimate for me with this kit. The tools included really help to set and shape your brows perfectly; it’s a must try.

Do let me know if you end up trying out the brow kit, I've already lost mine to my teenage sister who loves it! You can find KISS PRODUCTS here on their Twitter @KissProducts +Kiss Products .
