Nails! Nails! Nails!

I decided to review a few of the recent nails varnishes I’ve been wearing more often than usual. In the winter months I like wearing deep colours for warm impact or completely contrasting powerful bold bright colours to make me forget about how cold the winter actually is!

Myfacecosmetics | Sp"ice"y

When I received this nail varnish I really did love it, the colour is absolutely beautiful, it is really nice, it’s a metallic purple colour and as soon as I painted it on I was in love with it. However the colour is pretty much the only thing I did like about this nail varnish in the end. The handle of the brush is quite wide, so although you get a good grip it’s a bit awkward to hold the top securely because of the size. Another thing I didn’t really like was that I painted my nails before bed and my nails were basically chipped before even going out the next day and by the end of the day I literally had fully chipped nails with some nails half painted! I hate having chipped nails so this was really annoying for me! Although the colour is really nice I wouldn’t ever willingly purchase this nail varnish again and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who doesn’t want to keep topping up their nail varnish or re-paint their nails every day!

Barry M | Cyan Blue 294

So, this nail varnish is noticeably bright, especially in comparison to most of the nail varnishes I own! I always, always, always must paint my toe nails the same colour as my finger nails so having bright blue toe nails can’t always happen, so when I have my nails this blue it only lasts for a couple of days before I feel like I need a change of colour! As most people know, Barry M is quite obviously a great nail varnish and this one lasts a good few days of wear without chipping! The good thing about this polish is quite obviously the colour, bold and bright! Get your nails noticed!

Avon | Midnight Plum

I also really love the shade of this nail varnish, it’s a deep purple and almost looks black but isn’t as bold as black and in some lights shows more shades of purples than blacks. The Avon nail varnish is easy to apply and stays on for a few days with only a few tiny chips. Because of the dark colour it’s also good to cover chips really easily and unnoticeably. I would definitely buy this nail varnish again and explore other colours of the Avon brand.

Hope this helped for some nail inspirations over the New Year period. Also, I’d love to hear if you have any nail ideas for the winter season or for New Year party nails! Hope you all had a merry christmas and look forward to celebrating the new year!

OOTD: Climbing Volcanoes!

Jumper- H&M £12.99 | Skirt- Primark | Tights- Primark £3 | Boots- Dr.Martens £105

Hey everyone! Hope everyone’s ok! I can’t believe there’s only 3 days to go until Christmas and I haven’t even finished Christmas shopping! Is anyone else as unprepared as me seriously? Today’s outfit post consists of this pleated skirt that I picked up from Primark about a year ago now! When I first bought it I wasn’t too fond of it and had to leave it to grow on me, and it certainly did, now I love it at wear it with everything! It really can dress up any outfit! I work in Topman and wore it to work the other day, I stood at the front of the store to greet customers and I literally had so many people on the hunt for a skirt like this stopping to ask me where mine was from to buy either for themselves or as gifts! One girl told me this was the only one thing her sister wanted for Christmas so she was desperate to find one, I'm sure I’ve been into Primark stores that have stocked this recently, they also sell a metallic coloured version of this skirt too so if anyone is after one check there first! I’ve included some links below for sites that sell skirts similar to mine. This jumper was a perfect buy and as I’ve featured it before in an outfit post you’ll know I love this jumper and the price I love even better! Hope you like the look and manage to find key pieces you want before Christmas!
