A Little Black (& Orange) Dress!

Shoes | Topshop
Necklace* | Topshop

Until now, I've never experienced shopping in Debenhams for clothes just for the simple reason that I wasn't too sure of what clothes they actually sold, but I found that once I had actually sat down to have a look at their website, what they do sell was pretty impressive and the variety is massively impressive, with dresses ranging from low to high prices and for pretty much all occasions, as you would know if you've ever shopped or just been in Debenhams they cater for all. I ended up wanting quite a few things once I went online, typical!

With dresses, and most clothes in general I feel like I'm always trying to avoid wearing all black and I always want to brighten up my wardrobe a little. I have got so much better at avoiding black lately. So when I saw this cute dress on the Debenhams website I knew I wanted it. The pop of bright orange with the black contrasts so well in the dress that it's anything but dull!

When I first tried on this Red Herring dress I was so surprised how well it fitted, it felt just perfect! For £32 this is just the prettiest little black (& orange) shift dress! I also love that this is something that can either be really dressed up for a night out or dressed down slightly for a daytime look too! I decided that for this outfit post I wanted to dress it up but with daytime heels to show the balance, this look could be perfect for a date night too!

Has anyone else ever noticed how great Debenhams is to shop in?!

MOM Jeans!

Top | Urban Outfitters (Sale)
MOM Jeans | Topshop £42
Belt | Vintage
Rings | Pandora, Primark & Vintage

I absolutely love any high waist jeans, so these Topshop MOM jeans are pretty much what I live in lately!  I decided to pair them with this cute Urbs top I picked up in the sale a couple of months ago for something like £18, total bargain. I love the cut out details on the shoulder and the vintage style print of the shirt. I went for an overall vintage feel to this outfit with high waist jeans, a vintage print shirt and I also added this cute little vintage belt to the mix. A modern day vintage, it could well be? I’m also pretty much living in these shoes lately too! Can I just take a minute to say, how amazing are these?! For just £40 at Topshop I think they’re a total gem considering they go with everything and they make any single boring outfit look like you’ve made a real effort to style up your outfit, I just love that! They’re super comfy too, well now that I’ve worn them in (that I definitely have done!), the first few times I wore them they gave me a few blisters but it is safe to say I can now wear them for the whole day, marvellous! You’re most likely to see these crop up in a lot more posts, be warned haha!

Does anyone else have a pair of shoes they live in like these? Or a pair of comfy daytime heels?

The Pyjama Store Event!

Outfit | All Topshop
Bag | Mulberry

A couple of weeks ago I was invited along to the blogger and celebrity event courtesy of The Pyjama Store. When I got to the millennium hotel in Mayfair I was pleasantly surprised by the location of the event and even more surprised to discover a waiter there to greet me with champagne! The evening was filled with free flowing bubbles, canap├ęs and oh just the most perfect pyjamas to gaze through! I loved looking through the pyjamas, I must say, even though I was out having a ball of a time all of the cozy pj's definitely made me want to go home and get cozy in bed. They're for sure the type of pyjamas that you could lounge around in for days on end with lots of ice cream and movies on a raining day! Or if you're anything like me you'd want to wear your pj's outdoors, I spotted a lovely pink nighty at the event that would look perfect as a daytime dress, as you may have seen in my nightwear post previously (here) I do like to style nightwear to wear outdoors! Haha. The Pyjama store cater for many pyjama styles, it is always important to look good in bed! They also supply slippers, not just ordinary slippers but travel slippers too, the girls I was with and I were lusting after these all night! The Pyjama Store do not fail to please!

I met a few other bloggers on the night who were really lovely. I also met Jamie who is the founder of the pyjama store, he told us how one night he was sitting there thinking why isn't there real luxury pyjamas for men, then that same night plans for The Pyjama Store went underway and ta-da it has become a successful pyjama business for not only men but now women! The night also consisted of a bit of Towie celeb spotting when bobby, Abigail and jasmine turned up for the event along with model Junaid! It was all quite fun! Team Lucy Dartford PR and Jamie from The Pyjama Store put on a fantastic event and I would definitely say check out their website before writing your Christmas list!!

Magazine Internship Diaries!!

Hey lovelies, for the two (and a bit) weeks I have been interning with InStyle magazine and as everyone seemed to enjoy my last internship posts I thought I'd carry them on throughout my current internship- I got a lot of positive feedback from my last posts which was amazing, I love that some of you like reading what I write, it makes it all the more worth it!

Ok, so, I know on my last intern post I started by saying I was pretty much thrown in at the deep end, well when I look back that was nothing compared to now! I could easily go back to steaming for a lot of the day then helping out on shoot but then I guess that wouldn't be a challenge, I definitely feel as though I'm challenging myself with this internship, it's very intense to say the least! But it’s all so worth it! I think it's where I've gone straight into a monthly glossy mag from a PR internship and Ecommerce internship and you're expected to know the basics, and more, whereas I know nothing on how magazines work! For all of you wanting to intern, I would probably say get yourself a smaller/weekly magazine internship before diving into a high fashion mag!

The first week for me had it's ups and downs. I wish I could say days, but the quieter few hours we got were the best ones, it's still really busy in the quieter hours but the days where everything is manic are just super busy I don't know whether to cry or just pull myself together and get on with it, which is what I've been opting for haha.

Last week was most definitely a challenge for me, two of the more experienced interns who had been there for my first week had come to the end of their month’s internship and have now left which meant it was just going to be me and a new intern, and I was of course expected to teach the new intern everything! So it’s far to say, I was actually crapping myself!! Haha, but that week has now come to an end and I feel confident in being there now, I think where I knew I had kind of be ‘the one in control’ and know what I was doing it made me just get on with it and I managed to successfully get through the week and even better we managed to get through tons of returns, answer all emails and the fashion cupboard is now looking spectacular in comparison to how it had looked previously, marvellous! Haha!

At the moment I love being there, its tough most days with lots to do and I feel my stress levels building up sometimes haha, but I’m just so, so grateful for the experience of interning at Instyle, I was so lucky to get this opportunity! It has also helped to open my eyes up to the magazine world and how it works. I'm hoping to eventually go into magazine styling so this internship really is perfect for me at the moment; I'm just really hoping I can keep up with the pace! Fingers crossed!!

Also, how beautiful is my view of London on my lunch break! A-mazingggg right?

A Perfect Little Jumpsuit!

Hey lovelies! If you saw my last post you would have seen my dress from Missi Clothing. Here’s another item from them, I thought I’d put the posts one after the other to show what they have to offer :)

Jumpsuit* | Missi
Shirt | Ebay £4
Belt | Vintage

This jumpsuit is another item I’ve grown to love! I decided to pair it with this little gem I found on eBay for just £4 with postage, marvellous! I don’t actually own anything else of this jumpsuit print in my wardrobe so this is just a perfect first piece to add, and it surprisingly goes well with quite a lot too, but I thought I would clash the print with this red check print, as us bloggers tend to do, haha! I also added my Topshop boot heels to the outfit, as my sister likes to call them plimsoll heels, a little awkward because its defiantly so true! I'm so glad I jumped on board the jumpsuit trend, they’re everywhere at the moment and this one definitely stands out more than others, it’s lovely!

Check out Missi for some pretty gems!
