Monochrome Look- LFW!

BLOGGER_OUTFIT_FOR_LONDON_FASHION_WEEK

Trousers | Topshop £40
Boots | Topshop £40
Bag | Mulberry
Necklace | Forever 21

Hey lovelies! I know this is a super late post but I wasn’t initially planning on writing any London Fashion Week related posts but I do love this outfit so I thought I would upload anyway! I’ve recently moved back down to Southampton for my third year of uni and have only just had the internet installed in our student house, which if you saw my Twitter, explains the lack of posts! On a lighter note (well not really) I’m absolutely crapping myself for my final year, I'm having such a good time at the minute enjoying my last year as a student but I have a horrible amount of work to do along with my dissertation, so scary!! I want to also make sure I keep on top of the blog posts, this will probably be a completely different story in a month’s time and I’ll probably be in tears with a hundred books around me, well I do hope that is not the case!

As you may know from previous posts I was interning at InStyle magazine around LFW which sadly has now came to an end because of being back at Uni, which I'm so gutted about, I really loved it there and the experience was a-mazing! I was lucky enough to get some off schedule show tickets so I attended those over the weekend with one of my friends. I had this picture taken whilst waiting for the Ashley Isham show. The show was absolutely stunning; the setting of the catwalk was so pretty with the models entering from various antique looking doors at one end of the catwalk. The audience was pretty big too, in fact the show was overcrowded if anything but the collection was just so amazing! I did prefer the beginning of the collection as it was more ready-to-wear with an edge of added PVC and tailored printed trousers, whereas the second half was more eveningwear, which was lovely but didn’t excite me as much as the first part of the show. I loved being around LFW, it’s also so encouraging to see how many bloggers go along to the shows, I noticed a few familiar faces around some of the shows I attended, so that was great to see! It was so much fun being at the shows and getting to experience LFW, I’ve only ever worked at the shows there, so being able to attend was super exciting!!

Did anyone else get to experience the beautiful weather around LFW, or even attend any of the shows?

Magazine Internship Diaries!!

Hey lovelies, for the two (and a bit) weeks I have been interning with InStyle magazine and as everyone seemed to enjoy my last internship posts I thought I'd carry them on throughout my current internship- I got a lot of positive feedback from my last posts which was amazing, I love that some of you like reading what I write, it makes it all the more worth it!

Ok, so, I know on my last intern post I started by saying I was pretty much thrown in at the deep end, well when I look back that was nothing compared to now! I could easily go back to steaming for a lot of the day then helping out on shoot but then I guess that wouldn't be a challenge, I definitely feel as though I'm challenging myself with this internship, it's very intense to say the least! But it’s all so worth it! I think it's where I've gone straight into a monthly glossy mag from a PR internship and Ecommerce internship and you're expected to know the basics, and more, whereas I know nothing on how magazines work! For all of you wanting to intern, I would probably say get yourself a smaller/weekly magazine internship before diving into a high fashion mag!

The first week for me had it's ups and downs. I wish I could say days, but the quieter few hours we got were the best ones, it's still really busy in the quieter hours but the days where everything is manic are just super busy I don't know whether to cry or just pull myself together and get on with it, which is what I've been opting for haha.

Last week was most definitely a challenge for me, two of the more experienced interns who had been there for my first week had come to the end of their month’s internship and have now left which meant it was just going to be me and a new intern, and I was of course expected to teach the new intern everything! So it’s far to say, I was actually crapping myself!! Haha, but that week has now come to an end and I feel confident in being there now, I think where I knew I had kind of be ‘the one in control’ and know what I was doing it made me just get on with it and I managed to successfully get through the week and even better we managed to get through tons of returns, answer all emails and the fashion cupboard is now looking spectacular in comparison to how it had looked previously, marvellous! Haha!

At the moment I love being there, its tough most days with lots to do and I feel my stress levels building up sometimes haha, but I’m just so, so grateful for the experience of interning at Instyle, I was so lucky to get this opportunity! It has also helped to open my eyes up to the magazine world and how it works. I'm hoping to eventually go into magazine styling so this internship really is perfect for me at the moment; I'm just really hoping I can keep up with the pace! Fingers crossed!!

Also, how beautiful is my view of London on my lunch break! A-mazingggg right?

NSPA, a Little Beauty Ritual!

nspa products* | prices ranging from £2.95 each.

Hey guys! A little while ago I received this absolutely lovely bloggers bag made up of face and skin care goodies from NSPA beauty. I was so chuffed to receive this and couldn’t wait to start trying out the products. I’ve mainly used the facial products rather than the all over body care as I take foreverrrr in the shower anyway so I’d hate to make the process of showering even longer. So I’ve been using this little three step routine for a good few weeks now, if at all I receive any beauty products I just have to use them for a period of time to get their full potential out of them… there’s just no point in using a skin care product a few times and then summing it up, that wouldn’t work for me. So here is how I found using the Nspa products.

Firstly I have to say, I hadn’t heard of this brand before, but they definitely deserve a lot more credit than they get as they easily match up to the well known- more expensive skin care brands which are out there. I began using the three step facial products daily to find a quick development in the way my skin looked and felt. The set came with a Melting Cleansing Gel, Hot Cloth Polish and an Illuminating Beauty Serum,  to cleanse, exfoliate and moisturise your skin delicately. My face became slightly firmer after a couple weeks of daily use and I noticed my overall skin tone developing with a slight reduction to my pores. Marvellous!

Packaging!
I absolutely loved this little bag of products, Nspa beauty products are in simple tubes but I think the simplicity of the products packaging is what makes it look appealing. The colours are pale with contrasting pale coloured numbers on each tube to represent each facial step; the pale blue bag was just so pretty too!

Pro’s
+ My skin felt amazingly soft from first use
+ The three step application is soothing to use and is such a rewarding process
+ The third step can be worn either under or over makeup for a daily lift
+ I noticed a reduction in my pore visibility
+ The price is a definite pro!
+ I loved that you can massage the cleansing gel into dry skin

Con’s
- Like other products I have tried recently it didn’t really show any positive effect to the small but annoying section of slight acne I have at the moment or even to the acne scars, I'm yet to find a product that works for me in this area.

I also tried out step 3 of the body care set; the Jojoba and White Jasmine Body Lotion which felt amazing to use and left my skin feeling soft for hours, I’ve recently come back from holiday and its maintaining my dry patches of tan well, my skin usually flakes quickly but at the moment its kept well.

Have you tried any of these beauty rituals yet?
If not, you can purchase NSPA products from ASDA! Very convenient, Iknow!

Day 1
Kiss-nail-wraps
After 5 Days of wearing the nail stickers!

Kiss Nail Wraps* www.kissusa.com
"FASHION THAT STICKS"

When I received these little nail wraps I actually didn’t expect them to look as good on as they did. I'm usually a plain nail varnish kind of girl; I have to have my toes and hands matching with a coloured nail varnish. So for me, this was a little out of my comfort zone at first but I am so glad I tried them out!! I have  never had so many people notice my nails than when I had these on, it was quite strange how many people asked to see my nails, even boys were noticing them; it was so unusual. I had such positive feedback whilst I was wearing the Kiss nail wraps, when people found out they were just easy stick on nails they were amazed :) the pretty stickers are very easy to apply too.
 How to apply:
Step 1: Remove any nail varnish from your nail. File and shape your nails to your desired shape (I like to square mine)

Step 2: Select the sticker that suits your nail size, peel off and place near to the cuticle of the nail and smooth out from the centre

Step 3: Fold the sticker over where your nail ends

Step 4: Using the file included file the edge of your nail until the excess of the sticker comes away. The nail file includes a blue side for nail stickers with gems and a pink side for all other designs.

The application process really is that simple! I found that once I took the stickers off of my nails they felt really smooth like they had been refreshed from me wearing nail varnish every day. The stickers definitely benefitted my nails. Kiss nail wraps are said to last up to 10 days, I wore mine for five days before I opted for a bright pink colour. They were still in pretty good condition after the five days; I’ve included a picture above so you can see for yourself. These pretty stick on nails come in a range of designs to suit different styles. I was so happy with the ones I was sent as they weren’t anything to crazy and went with every outfit I wore. If you are unsure about using these at first I would definitely recommend just getting these in a black pattern, simple but noticeable :)
